Note | Hon. Justice Kpajie Francis Omelonye Nwokedi born 6th day of July 1924 to the family of Late Chief Edward Nwurai Nwokedi (OBE) Ogene of Onitsha and Late Enyi Janet Nwokedi. He attended St. Mary”s primary school Ezechima, Onitsha, St. Gregs college Lagos and later University college London where he studied law. He was called to Lincoln inn bar on the 1st day of July 1952. He returned to Nigeria and practiced law under late Justice Chuba Ikpeazu and later under Dennis Osadebey. he later joined the federal Ministry of justice as a crown counsel and later became the Director of public Prosecution, East Central state. He was appointed Judge in 1972 and was the first Igbo judge in Okigwe, he later became acting chief justice of East Central state and later acting chief Judge of old Anambra state. He was Chairman of Anambra state red cross society 1995 to 2000, he is a devoted Roman Catholic and married with children. |
